Romona Merritt
Viola

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Romona Merritt completed her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Performance at North Carolina School of the Arts and the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis), respectively. In 1994, she was chosen to participate in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Fellowship Program for two seasons.

After a one-year position with the Grand Rapids Symphony, Romona joined the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in the fall of 1998.

Ms. Merritt is the viola instructor at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. During the summer of 2002, she was invited to join the faculty of the Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, North Carolina.
