Hilary Hahn is one of the most sought-after artists on the international concert circuit, thanks to her stage-presence and technical brilliance on the violin. Edgar Meyer (our 2011-12 Composer-in-Residence) wrote the Violin Concerto for her in 1999; she premiered it to great acclaim, but has never performed it live since ... until now! In keeping with the American music theme, we'll end the night with Copland's beloved Appalachian Spring Suite. If you've never heard it live, don't miss your chance!
