Jazz and Blues inspire some of the most innovative creations in orchestral literature. Brown Celebrates Bernstein
In honor of the 90th Anniversary of Leonard Bernstein's birth, Justin Brown pays tribute to his late, great teacher and mentor. Bernstein was one of America's most influential musical figures, a conductor and pianist as well as a composer. This program surveys the full range of Bernstein's music, from the playful to the profound, from Broadway to ballet. Principal flutist Lisa Wienhold takes center stage in the beautiful Halil.
