ASO favorite Augustin Hadelich returns for his third visit to the Magic City, and with this violin concerto by Britten, makes a little magic of his own. The program also includes three works originally by Francois Couperin in the 18th century, revitalized and reimagined for the 20th century world by Thomas Ades. We'll conclude with Brahms' Symphony No. 4 — a deeply dramatic aural struggle between darkness and light.

Concert Comments begin at 7 p.m. in the Reynolds-Kirschbaum Theater, next to the Jemison Concert Hall.
Concert Comments are hosted by the concert's conductor, the ASO Education Director or other eminent guests and music critics before evening Masterworks performances. Whether you are a casual classical music listener or a connoisseur, Concert Comments will give you a greater appreciation for the works being performed. Join us for this free event.
